Situated on the edge of the National Park and at the foot of Mt. Maroma it is an ideal place for walking or exploring the back roads of Andalusia.
During July and August the public swimming pool and bar is open and the beaches along the coast are a short drive away.
There is no parking outside the house although you can park to unload. Car parking is available at each end of the village a few minutes walk away.
Canillas de Aceituno is an ideal centre for walking, bird watching, painting and photography. There are many splendid walks in this area of outstanding beauty. For those who don’t want to walk there are several driving routes to follow which incorporate some dramatic scenery such as El Torcal and El Chorro or the Sierra Nevada. It is also well suited for visiting other towns and cities too such as Granada, Seville, and Cordoba.
